The Barber Factory in the Bronx is helping students look their best as they head back to school this week.
On Sunday, staff hosted a back-to-school drive giving out backpacks, hand sanitizer face masks and other goodies.
They are also giving kids hair cuts for only $10.
They have a mobile vaccination bus to help families who have not yet received their COVID-19 vaccine.
The manager, Mike Carr, tells News 12 they just want to be a blessing to others and to give back to the community.
“I feel like it's important because you have some kids who aren't fortunate, who can't afford supplies because of their financial situation or even just their home situation,” says Carr.
Carr adds this helps the community to know they are here for them.
