A local councilwoman from the Bronx held her annual women's history month celebration Wednesday night to honor women from across the borough and the city.
Councilwoman Vanessa Gibson, who represents District 16, honored six special women who have shown commitment, courage and conviction in their respective fields.
The event was held at the Mullaly Recreation Center in Concourse, and also featured performances from the McKinley Clover Steppers and Girl be Heard.
