The annual Dominican Day Parade was back in the Bronx on Sunday after the pandemic limited festivities last year.
Last year's celebration was pared down to a float and a virtual party to allow for social distancing.
But this year, the parade is back on, and organizers say the tradition is important, as well as highlights the Dominican culture, music and so much more here in New York.
"Even if this year is going to be very limited, that is why we decided to do it, even with 200 people inside the parade, we decided to keep it going, that tradition that's been happening for 32 years," says Edderkys Gonzalez, executive secretary of the Bronx Dominican Parade.
