An 8-year-old Bronx girl who survived a fall from a seventh-floor apartment window awoke Saturday in the hospital.

Relatives say Destiny Antonio is alert and talking to her family and friends. According to family members, Destiny said she was looking at a group of people outside her building when she fell out the window.

The worst of Destiny?s injuries are on her left side below the waist, relatives say. Her brother says she will most likely remain hospitalized at Jacobi Medical Center for at least four months.
