Zumba classes, free giveaways and healthy snacks are just some of the incentives to help motivate residents to get in shape this week.
Friday's kickoff at Grand Concourse is all a part of the Bronx Hip Hop Health and Fitness Initiative, organized by "Windows of Hip Hop."
The Bronx currently ranks last in overall health compared to other counties in the state, and community leaders are hoping to change that.
Four community health events have been organized to encourage people to eat and live healthy.
Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. says that he hopes the message of this week's events will help decrease obesity in the Bronx.
