A Bronx mother says she has been destroyed by the massive fire along Elder Avenue that killed her daughter and left several others injured Saturday night.
The FDNY says the fire has been ruled as an accidental electrical fire. Five people were hospitalized with minor injuries. Nohelia Lora Santos, 36, was pronounced dead.
Santos' mother, Magaly, shared with News 12 says she feels horrible and asked for privacy in her time of grieving.
A partial vacate order is now taped to the apartment building's front door. A man named Santiago is among several people treated at a hospital after the fire.
"From the desperation, my brother and I tried to break a window to get some air. We couldn't see, we just touched things. So, we tried to break the window. We break it, but it wasn't enough to get some air," says Santiago.
