A Bronx praise dancing team is set to compete against the best dancers in the country in an annual worship festival event hosted by McDonald's.
While some were winding down for the week, the Prime Example Performing Arts dance team was only getting started during practice on Sunday.
"We're trying to get some extra practice in so we're more than prepared when it comes time to perform," said program director April Watson.
For the first time ever, the praise dance team was selected to compete at McDonald's Gospelfest in May.
"It is the Super Bowl times 10. It is the Grammy's, it is the Oscar's -- it is everything and more," Watson said.
This year, the team, made up of mostly girls, claims to be the only group competing from the borough.
One boy in the group said, whether they win or lose, getting on the stage and being able to show that they participated is a win in itself.
The competition begins on May 13.
