With the highest concentration of West Africans in New York City, many Bronx residents are concerned for family members in Ebola-stricken areas.
More than 4,500 people have died since the outbreak began in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
Some Bronx residents of West African descent who spoke with News 12 said the recent scare in the U.S. has led to bullying in school and discrimination.
Others say the outbreak is affecting their bottom lines as local businesses have not been able to import some foods from West Africa.
