Bronx residents felt the heat Tuesday as temperatures soared into the 90s.
Many headed outdoors to Van Cortlandt Park. Temperatures neared 95 degrees, and many residents said it was the humidity that really exhausted them.
Some Bronx residents headed to the Mosholu Library, one of the city's designated cooling centers. The library is equipped with seven fans and air conditioning, making it a much cooler place to be during a heat wave.
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory until 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Wednesday's temperatures are expected to reach 96 degrees.
