Bronx eateries providing warm food become havens for shoppers on a day with cold, blustery conditions like those present Monday.

The Arthur Avenue Retail Market was bustling with shoppers who stayed for a bite after purchasing some holiday goodies.

Some folks chomped on sandwiches at Mike's Deli, a hot spot for holiday shopping.

Earlier in the day, News 12 stopped at Frank's Soup Bowl on Bronxwood Avenue, which has been making its specialty homemade soups for more than 30 years.

With colder weather in the forecast this week, the city is using its website to make New Yorkers aware of some other ways to keep warm, aside from soup consumption. The city advises to dress in layers and to cover your hands, ears and other body parts that may be exposed to the elements.
