Bronx Rises Against Gun Violence (BRAG), an organization that promotes peace in the borough, held its fifth annual barbecue Saturday in Bedford Park.
Michael Rodriguez, director of BRAG, says the organization helps youth who are aged 16-25 and labeled as “high risk” find positive outlets. BRAG’s services range from physical and therapeutic activities to legal aid and vocational training.
"This represents bringing peace to the community…thanking them for letting us come out here to spread peace," said Rodriguez.
Community members were treated to food, music, raffles, arts and games.
News 12’s Valerie Ryan joined community members as they enjoyed the day’s events.
