A street in The Bronx has been given a new name in honor of a local school with a lot of history.
Part of 164th Street, between the Grand Concourse and Walton Avenue, is now known as All Hallows Way after All Hallows High School. The school started back in 1909 as two brownstone buildings in Harlem with just 25 students, but made its move to the borough a few years later.
All Hallows has grown to 650 students, and is the only inner-city school in the Archdiocese of New York to be designated as a top-50 school by the Catholic High School Honor.
