Bronx Week officially kicks off on May 8 and will be seeing a new route for the first time in over two decades.
Mosholu Parkway will not be hosting Bronx Week’s festivities for the first time in over 20 years. Now, Bronx residents will have to make their way to the new route along Grand Concourse from 167th to 158th streets, where the celebration was previously held.
Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson says the longtime route was changed because of ongoing street improvements along Mosholu Parkway.
Food festivities, free concerts and a parade will kick off Monday. Bronx Week celebrations will run through May 21.
