A Bronx World War II veteran who couldn't make it to the borough's Veteran's Day parade earlier this month was given a proper salute by loved ones and service members right before Thanksgiving.
Army veteran William Robinson was honored with a plaque, thanks to the efforts of the Bronx Veterans Parade Task Team. Family, friends, firefighters and about a half-dozen fellow service members attended the ceremony.
William Robinson Jr. says his father is his hero and role model.
Robinson will celebrate his 90th birthday on Feb. 4.
