The Brooklyn Public Library is celebrating turning 125 years old Saturday.
The celebration is taking place in six locations, including the recreation center in Red Hook.
The library’s first branch opened their doors back in 1897.
As a part of the event, they decided to convert their book mobile trucks into cake mobiles. People can also enjoy the live music, book readings and other activities.
The celebrations start at 2 p.m. at Herbert von King Park, Seth Low playground at Bealin Square, and Hillel Place Plaza.
