A salon in Brooklyn is helping clients take care of their hair while staying at home.

Carol Thomas, owner of Just Because Hair Salon, says her salon implemented safety protocols once they were able to reopen amid the pandemic. These protocols include seating clients far away from each other, lining salon chairs in plastic and making sure all beauticians wear masks at all time.

However, Thomas says clients who usually got their hair done at the salon have instead been doing their hair at home.

To help her clients and also help pick up sales, Thomas started doing online consultations. She also has created take home hair product kits.

Thomas says this gives more options to clients who may not be comfortable coming back into the salon.
