Brooklyn Tech student’s video on anti-matter could net him $400K in global competition
A 16-year-old Brooklyn Tech High School student is one of the finalists in the Breakthrough Junior Challenge’s global science video competition.
The contest is an annual event that challenges students to create engaging videos that demonstrate difficult scientific concepts and theories. The $400,000 prize for the competition also includes a $250,000 scholarship.
Hans De Los Santos earned a spot as a finalist with a two-minute video explaining the concept of anti-matter. He hopes to use the scholarship money when he gets into Massachusetts Institute of Technology, his dream school.
