A Bushwick man is competing in the Food Network's “Spring Baking Championship.”

Jahmal Dailey says he has been baking since he was 8 years old. He decided to give the show a shot and mentally prepared himself for any challenges that he may face in the competition.

"I went in like completely focused, it doesn’t matter what you're going to get because you're going to get some weird stuff….just be able to roll with it and make it yours, and just incorporate it into whatever you know," Dailey says.

The show airs Monday nights on the Food Network.
