A Bronx-based organization is working to find teens in foster care permanent homes.
The Children's Aid Society put together a panel Wednesday night to educate the public about teens and the foster care system.
Young women and men who were in foster care and those who are still in the system, shared their stories about what it's like to be stuck in limbo without a family.
Organizers say the goal of the event is to get more families to become a foster parents and give teens a permanent loving home before they age out of the system.
They say the number of teens taken in by a foster family and ultimately adopted is very low.
