The new Bronx Jewish Hall of Fame announced its inaugural class Tuesday, honoring celebrities born and raised in the borough.
The hall opened in the Bronx Museum, where some of the honorees were on hand to share stories about their childhoods.
Inductees, including comedian Robert Klein and writer Blu Greenberg, recounted tales about youth on the Grand Concourse and Arthur Avenue.
It's part of an initiative by Jewish historical groups in the community, but not all of the inductees were Jewish.
Organizers say that's the best part -- mixing various cultures together is what makes the Bronx what it is.
