New York City cab drivers are calling for changes to a system that they say is supposed to keep them safe, but is flawed.

The "trouble light" is an amber light that flashes on the top of the cab after it's activated by a switch to alert police that a driver is in danger. Jose Hernandez, of Prestige Car Service, says the light is not effective because police are not noticing it.

Concerns about cab driver safety come after two cab drivers were murdered in the Bronx in the past week. Hernandez says city officials should look into making the trouble light more effective.

Hernandez says cameras should also be placed inside every cab to record interactions with passengers and deter crime.
