Cast members of the new musical, "A Bronx Tale," took a trip to the borough on Sunday to learn about scenes they are recreating on the Broadway stage.
The cast stopped by Gino's Pastry Shop, one of the borough's tastiest gems.
The story, originally written by Chazz Palminteri back in 1989, officially opens as a musical on Broadway Dec. 1.
Cast members tell News 12 that the musical took over a decade to make. The show hopes to inspire the audience to follow their dreams.
The musical takes the audience back to the early 1960s, when Gino's Pastry Shop first opened.
"It teaches you how to do the best of your ability and how not to waste your life, and the choices you make will shape your life forever," says Palminteri.
