A cat that was stuck in a Sheepshead Bay tree for five days made it back to solid ground down, according to neighbors Tuesday.

They were doing everything they could for the 2-year-old cat, named Obama, while he was in the tree.

They were worried about the heat and had called first responders but couldn't get him down until tree specialists came to help.

Obama was returned to his owner, who is an elderly woman with cancer.

According to neighbors, Obama escaped when the elderly woman opened her door.
