New York City residents will have to pay more to use Citi Bikes in the new year.

Rates for e-bikes and classic bikes will increase to 27 cents per minute starting next Monday.

The bike sharing system says the price hike is a result of their efforts to expand the network with 250 new stations across The Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens.
