Mayor Eric Adams says there needs to be measures in place aimed at protecting New York City homeowners against squatters.
News 12 reported eight migrants, who were said to be squatting inside of a home in Norwood, were arrested on drug and gun charges on April 4.
Council Member Susan Zhuang, along with other city leaders, plans to introduce legislation to make it easier for police to remove squatters and track how often this practice happens.
