About 100 black and Hispanic clergy members met at the Christian Community Neighborhood Church before heading to City Hall Thursday to rally for education changes.
One of the issues the group is pushing for is an expanded charter school system.
The group, which says it represents Bronx students, told News 12 that it wants the state Education Department to take over the borough's worst schools.
"We want our children to prosper, we want our children to learn, we want them to get ahead," said Pastor Ismael Feliciano. "And right now, many of our youngsters are not even getting into college because of the failing grades that they have."
