Collision on McDonald Avenue leaves motorcyclist in critical condition

A collision between a car and a motorcyclist in Kensington and Parkville has left one man in critical condition.

A collision between a car and a motorcyclist in Kensington and Parkville has left one man in critical condition.
Police say around 8 p.m. Saturday, a motorcyclist traveling westbound on Avenue C ran a red light and struck the driver's side of a 2022 Honda HRV at an intersection on McDonald Avenue.
Police say he was not wearing a helmet and had a 19-year-old passenger with him at the time.
The 19-year-old suffered a minor head injury and is recovering in the hospital.
The driver of the motorcycle is currently in critical condition with a severe leg injury that may require amputation.
Police say the NYPD’s Highway Collision Investigation Squad is looking into the incident.
