A delivery truck drove over and ruptured a gas line in the Throgs Neck section of The Bronx, according to Con Edison.
The FDNY says four units were on the scene. The call was received at 9:53 a.m. for the report of a ruptured gas line and downed wires.
Con Edison says a delivery truck drove over a grassy area and parked in front of a construction site at 3239 Tierney Place.
Con Edison crews on the scene were waiting for the truck to move before making repairs. The truck has since been moved.
"The gas service to this house was already turned off (because it’s under construction) so there are no gas customers out of service," according to a Con Edison statement.
