Some families in need at a school in the Bronx will have a special Christmas thanks to a very special organization.
Community School 55 in Morrisania partnered with an organization from Connecticut called 'Project Santa.'
The organization came to the school with bags filled with presents that will be hand selected by the children's parents.
"We have this project that we do here, Community School 55, called 'Project Santa.' It's a community from Stanford, Connecticut that adopted our school 14 years ago, and it's grown to the point now where they give gifts to all children at our school," says Principal Luis Torres.
The presents chosen by parents were taken home to be wrapped and placed under the tree in the hope of providing a very special Christmas morning.
