A new temporary hospital is under construction at Brooklyn Cruise Terminal.
New York City’s Office of Emergency Management tweeted out photos of trucks heading out to the terminal. This is all in an effort to continue battling the rise in coronavirus cases and to treat patients.
Officials expect 750 beds to be ready in the next two weeks and then phase in additional beds when they are ready.

The city and state are looking to identify more locations as Gov. Andrew Cuomo says the apex of the pandemic might not hit until late April.
The state and Army Corps identified the New York Expo Center, a 90,000 square-foot site in the Bronx, as a possible location for a hospital.
