A construction worker was found lying dead on the second floor of the terrace landing at 124 Columbia Heights, Friday morning.
He was pronounced dead at the scene after what appears to have been an accidental eight-story fall from the balcony he was working on.
Council Member Lincoln Restler tweeted, "Like this tragedy, these avoidable deaths often involve Latino workers at non-union construction sites. Our office will work with @NYCBuildings and @CMPiSanchez to ensure there is a rigorous investigation of what happened. If there was negligence - we will demand accountability."
