A community is praising local workers for jumping in to help residents during a fire.
Construction workers rushed into a burning building near their work site on Clay Avenue Wednesday.
Ryan Miller says he and his team ran in after hearing someone yell that a baby was on the fourth floor.
"We all ran into the building, every one of us," he says. "(We) ran into the building, started knocking on doors and making sure everybody got out safe."
The workers say they cleared 12 apartments before the fire department arrived, saving the life of one wheelchair-bound woman.
Five people were injured in the fire.
