The city's Department of Consumer Affairs met with owners of 90 businesses to make sure they have everything that's needed to pass inspection.
The DCA's inspection checklist states that businesses must have a price list that includes types of services, range of additional charges, and sales and promotions clearly displayed.
"We're bringing materials for them," says Lorelei Salas, commissioner of the DCA. "We want to make sure we see them as accessible. We can answer the questions. Really the goal is to help them get as educated as possible to avoid fines."
This is the DCA's second business education day in the Bronx this year.
