Supporters of Gov. Andrew Cuomo rallied outside of Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie's Bronx office Friday to call for due process as probes into the governor's conduct play out.
Demonstrators at the Pelham Gardens office said Cuomo should be treated fairly and that he is innocent until proven guilty.
They say he was elected by the public and that the public deserves the facts from a full investigation before demanding his resignation.
“When we get the truth and the truth leads us to the guilt of our governor then we have the right to call for his resignation or we have the right to kick him out,” a demonstrator tells News 12.
At least seven women have publicly accused the governor of sexual harassment. He is currently being investigated by the state attorney general, in addition to an impeachment investigation in the state Assembly.
