A New York district attorney says that it's too late to prosecute former Syracuse University assistant basketball coach Bernie Fine over sex abuse allegations.
The prosecutor says the state's statute of limitations has run out because the alleged abuse happened in 2002. The U.S. Attorney's Office is now investigating because a third accuser's claim falls within federal statutes of limitations.
The Brooklyn native was fired from the university, but has maintained his innocence.
