A drawbridge malfunction snarled traffic on the Hutchinson River Parkway in the Bronx Saturday afternoon.

Traffic heading southbound was backed up to I-95.

News 12 is told that police were turning drivers around to get off the entrance to the bridge, and people were standing outside their cars due to the severe delays.

The DOT confirmed Saturday evening that all lanes have since been reopened.
