A fire hydrant that has been dripping water since last year has left slippery ice down a sidewalk in Norwood.
Residents are
calling on the city to fix the hydrant and the slippery mess it has created.
Owner of Green
Earth Grocery Fransico Marte has looked to help residents when calls went
unanswered
“The people
couldn’t pass by so what I do is get salt and we melt it and we pick so they
can pass by,” Marte says.
Residents say the
area has become dangerous and say they are worried that children can get injured.
News 12 reached
out to 311 regarding the situation and is waiting to hear back.
