WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
  • Much like this holiday weekend, we'll see the trend of cool nights, warm days and pleasant skies come to the region.
  • The Northern Lights may be visible for some tonight and more so tomorrow night. A G2 to G3 geomagnetic storm is forecast, and while that isn't as high as previous storms, viewing may be possible in rural areas away from streetlights and with a night-time setting on the camera.
  • There will be comfortable levels of humidity through much of the work week to go along with the sunshine.
  • A chance for rain pops up by week's end with a system approaching the area.
  • Clouds will increase through Thursday ahead of the system's arrival.
  • Rain moves in, on and off, through the day on Friday with showers tapering off into the first half of Saturday. Some spotty/scattered showers could linger into the second half.
  • Another sun-filled stretch moves in after that with seasonal temps.
