Here’s what you need to know:
  • It's a cool and mostly clear start to the day. Temperatures are in the low to mid 60s.
  • Today won't be as warm as it was yesterday. Highs will be in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees.
  • A Fall chill settles in this week as temperatures dip into the 70s. Overnight lows will be in the 60s.
  • Our next chance of rain is on Friday afternoon/evening. Severe weather or significant rainfall isn’t expected at this time. We’re still running below normal for rainfall for the month of August. Rain is needed as we’re currently under a moderate drought across the city. Water conservation may be necessary in the next few weeks if the dry pattern doesn’t change. Stay tuned for updates.
TRACKING THE TROPICS: We're currently monitoring Tropical Storm Fernand in the Northern Atlantic. It currently poses no threat to land as it continues to weaken as it moves Northwest. The peak of hurricane season is Sept. 10, with more tropical activity expected September through mid-October. Stay tuned for updates!
