Secretary of State Stephanie Thomas announced early voting will be available in Connecticut this year.
She warned newly elected municipal officials that early voting will require two rounds of all-day paid training for poll workers.
She says so far, the state has only allocated funding for April's Presidential Preference Primary.
Thomas says she will be making a request for a Legislature budget adjustment for early voting to be funded for the presidential election and any August primaries.
Poll workers will be trained on how to use the online Centralized Voter Registration System.
She says one of the priorities with early voting will be cybersecurity and fighting misinformation.
