Those who work in the event industry on Long Island say things are finally back to normal.
Chris Richards and his wife own CJ's Restaurant in Mattituck and East End Events Catering.
He says he is having a much busier season on the catering side then in recent years.
"Between the vineyards, the farms, the barns, people are flocking out here for these North Fork weddings," Richards says. "They're outside, they're a little longer times."
The Sands Point Preserve, located on Nassau County's Gold Coast, is also seeing more events.
The castle owned by the Guggenheim family has been featured in movies and TV shows including "The Godfather," "Boardwalk Empire" and "Billions."
"It really makes a dream-like setting for weddings, corporate events and big life cycle events," says Jeremiah Bosgang, of Sands Point Preserve. "People who had reservations during COVID and they were scheduled to get married and they had to put it off. Now, we're seeing a lot of those coming back."
