Police investigating the disappearance of a child on Howard Ave.

Police are looking for a missing 11-year-old boy in Brownsville.
Authorities tell us the Administration for Children's Services (ACS) requested a wellness check around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Police arrived to the scene shortly after and are still looking for the child.
Neighbors tell News 12 that they called authorities after not seeing the boy for a while.
No picture has been made available. NYPD officers are stationed inside the building on the floor where the mother and child live, as well as outside the building.
Police are in contact with the mother during this investigation.
Howard Avenue property management released the following statement:
“We are deeply concerned by the events unfolding in our community. We will continue to support our community and the NYPD throughout this challenging time, and our highest hope is for the ultimate safety of the missing child."
A spokesperson from the ACS says, "The safety and well-being of New York City's children is our top priority. As soon as this family came to our attention, we launched an investigation with the NYPD."
