A grieving family is calling for justice after their loved one's suspicious death last month.
Michael Woody was found unconscious and unresponsive in the apartment he shared with his girlfriend on Nov. 17.
Police tell News 12 Woody suffered severe internal injuries and a fractured spinal cord. He died at a local hospital.
Woody’s family says he'd been arguing with his girlfriend prior to his death.
His mother Thea Woody told News 12 in
November, she believes he was killed by three people caught on surveillance the day he died. She says photos show Woody's girlfriend, her father and an unknown man outside of his apartment.
Woody's death has yet to be classified as a homicide, with investigators deeming it a felony assault.
"There's no justice for Michael. All we want is justice," Thea Woody said. "They killed my son inside of that apartment.”
As the holiday season is in full effect, Woody's family tells News 12 they're left shattered and searching for answers.
