It was a night of glitz and glamour Sunday at the second-ever People's Ball at Grand Army Plaza in Park Slope.
The Met Gala may be on Monday, but the People's Ball is the Brooklyn Public Library's version of the most glamorous night of the year.
There were sparkly dresses, flowers, tasteful attires and some looks worthy of a celebrity red carpet.
The event that was open to the public allowed all New Yorkers to don their very best and enjoy a night at the ball.
People danced, enjoyed musical performances and displayed their fashionable choices on the red carpet.
Brooklyn Public Library officials said they first hosted the event in 2018 and decided to bring it back after the pandemic subsided.
They added that the event is another way to honor their 125-year tradition of welcoming and serving Brookly residents from all backgrounds and walks of life.
