FBI agents raided several New Jersey locations during a crackdown on a nationwide catalytic converter theft ring.
At least three locations were raided. FBI agents moved pallets and boxes from a Wrightstown scrapyard into a truck, while agents in Holmdel raided a home.
According to the DOJ, that Homdel home belongs to Navin Khanna, one of the 21 people arrested nationwide suspected of taking part in the ring.
Stolen catalytic converters recovered in the raid were sent to Blacey's U-Pick Auto Parts in Wrightstown and to D&G Auto Parts in Freehold for processing.
Now, 21 defendants are each facing 40 counts including conspiracy and money laundering.
