One person is dead and another person is in critical condition following an early morning fire in Mount Hope, fire officials say.

Over 100 firefighters responded to 239 E. 176 St. at 6:10 a.m. for reports of a fire at a three-story home. The second-alarm fire was on the third floor of the building.

One woman, approximately 50 years old, was transported to a hospital with a critical injury, according to the NYPD. A man in his 30s to 40s was found dead inside the building.

The fire has been put out. It's unclear how the fire started.
