An early morning apartment fire killed two people and injured several more in Parkchester Saturday.
The FDNY tells News 12 they responded to the fire at 1970 East Tremont Ave. around 1 a.m.
After the flames were put out, firefighters found 75-year-old John Quinones unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
During the investigating crews found a second man who was also pronounced dead at the scene. He has not yet been identified.
News 12 is told one of the victims lived on the 10th floor of the building. It is unclear if that is where the fire broke out.
Officials say eight people, including two firefighters, were injured in the fire.
Fire marshals are investigating the cause of the fire.
