FDNY members responded to a massive fire in Highbridge early Wednesday morning at two two seemingly vacant buildings.
More than 150 firefighters responded to 1043 Ogden Ave. around 1 a.m. The fire spread to a second building at 1041 Ogden Ave. Firefighters were able to put out the fire, but the two home homes are now charred.
The Department of Buildings told News 12 they have now issued full vacate orders on both of the buildings.
The two homes were sandwiched between two larger apartment buildings, and one currently has residents living inside and another that is still under construction.
Residents were evacuated as a precaution, but the fire did not seriously damage either apartment building.
No injuries have been reported. It’s unclear if anyone was inside the building when it went up in flames.
There is no word on the cause of the fire.
