NYPD: Fatal shooting on East 161st Street and Morris Avenue
12h agoA firefighter suffered minor injuries while responding to a Wakefield house fire just hours before Thanksgiving, officials say.
It happened after 8:30 p.m. on the first floor of the two-story residence on East 229th Street.
Officials say it took 106 firefighters and EMS personnel to get the situation under control.
The cause of the fire remain under investigation.
