Fire marshals are investigating a fire that broke out Thursday night in Unionport.
News 12 is told the flames sparked in the basement of the home on Watson and Olmstead avenues around 10 p.m.
Firefighters tell News 12 smoke traveled straight through the first and second floor of the home, causing severe damage.
Officials say it took them an hour to get the flames under control. According to the FDNY six people were hurt, with three of them being firefighters.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
